I've wanted a place to be able to really highlight the scents that I do and dive a little deeper into how they came about, how I mixed them and why they're so great 🥹
If you don't know, the majority of my scents are custom blended by me, making a whole new fragrance!
I usually start with an idea. For example with Mysa, I wanted a chill, light in the bedroom as part of your wind-down evening routine to really get you in the right head space for a fab sleep (can you tell I sometimes struggle with getting to sleep? 😅) so the starting point was a fragrance oil that is lavender, vanilla and chamomile but I'm not a huge fan of any of those fragrances on their own..I think they can be a little clinical, a little overpowering (or under powering) and really just one note, a little boring to be perfectly honest 😂
I then think, what notes would help bring this fragrance to life? Or, what is it missing? In comes a scent which is named Starry Night ✨ now this is a scent I personally adore. It's citrusy with mandarin and bergamot but has notes of jasmine, cedarwood, sandalwood, amber and tonka. Basically a load of good things that settle down that store bought vanilla fragrance and gives the end product more of a ✨vibe✨
You end up with those chill lavender, chamomile scent notes but they're brought to life with a citrusy woody blend 🤤
This candle is, and will remain one of my favourites that I have ever blended 🫶 it also has as special place in my heart as the first candle to ever stray from the Feu dot label, with the dots being replaced for clouds ☁️
